Available Services & Information:
Who can use the Center?  
Everyone can use the information and services that are provided. The center and its services are available to job-seekers, employers, and students. In fact, it's available to all of the public.
   
What does it cost?  
Actually, it costs you nothing! The services provided are absolutely free.
   
Eligibility for Services  

Virtually all of the information and many of the services provided at the Center are available without any requirements that you be eligible.

There are some services that are available for which you must meet eligibility requirements. Contact the office if you have questions concerning your specific need.

Services Provided:

 

Adult Basic Education
GED classes are offered in the Workforce Oklahoma building twice weekly. GED testing now available in Okmulgee County.

Career Counseling
Information and guidance about career decisions.

Child Care Assistance
Child care cost assistance during work hours, if available.

Dislocated Workers
Training and job search assistance for the unemployed.

Displaced Homemakers
Training and job search assistance for persons returning to the workforce.

Internet Access
The workforce Oklahoma Resource room offers free Internet access to all clients seeking employment and/or labor force information.

Job Corps Referrals
Training for disadvantaged youth ages 16-22.

Job Skills Assessment
Assessment tools used for determining job interests and abilities.

Labor Exchange
Job listings, referral and placement assistance for workers and employers.

Labor Market Information
Includes county and state unemployment rates, labor force, employment, and other data.

Migrant & Seasonal Farm Worker
Services for migrant and seasonal farm workers.

Native American Program Referrals
Services available through the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

On-The-Job Trainin
Paid training assistance while on the job; if eligible.

Rehabilitative Services
Provides work and training opportunities for the disabled through the Oklahoma Dept. Services and Creek Nation Rehab Services.

TAA-NAFTA-TRA
Services for workers impacted by foreign imports.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families - Referral
Information regarding basic eligibility.

Food Stamp Assistance
Information regarding basic eligibility.

Transportation Assistance
Services to help workers with transportation needs, if eligible.

Unemployment Insurance
Information about the filing of unemployment compensation. Access to phone to file a claim, if needed.

Veteran's Assistance
Employment assistance for Veterans.

Youth Programs
Summer and year-round programs to prepare youth ages 14-22 for the world of work.
