Grady Clack carried out Oklahoma A & M President Henry G. Bennett's vision of educating and training veterans at a premier educational and vocational institution. That dream debuted in Okmulgee on October 3, 1946 with the opening of Oklahoma A and M College School of Technical Training and thus began a journey that has helped mold one of the most technologically advanced universities in the country. For 30 years, Grady served OSU-Okmulgee in several capacities ranging from veterans coordinator and professor of mathematics to coach and registrar.

Grady Clack was raised in Durant, Oklahoma and married his greatest supporter, Joan, on Christmas Day 1935. Three sons, Charles, Tom and Jerry, were born during their 62-year union, and all had a significant part to play in extending the family's OSU ties.

Joan and Grady worked well as a team in supporting and encouraging their three sons to achieve their full abilities, creating a trickle-down effect of producing four grandchildren who also graduated from OSU.

His legacy will live on thanks to his sons who have established the Grady and Joan Clack Scholarship Fund with hopes that it will help further Grady Clack's vision for OSU-Okmulgee.

To recognize his vision of excellence in service to students, OSU-Okmulgee named The Grady W. Clack Student Success Center in his honor. The Center brings all student service operations under one roof, empowering staff to maintain their focus on assisting each visitor efficiently and completely.
