Commonsense Dress Code
for Speakers in Spch 1113
- No hats or
other headgear
- Hair must
be clean and combed or styled
- No visible
body piercings (other than one pair of earrings on women)
- Keep
jewelry to two items
- No
sunglasses
- Men must
be clean shaven or have well-groomed beards
- No visible
tattoos
- All shirts
or blouses must have sleeves
- No
clothing with logos, writing, numbers, or images on it
- No
see-through fabrics
- All
clothing must be free of stains and holes or tears
- No exposed
stomachs and butt cracks (make sure no skin is visible between your
pants and your shirt)
- Clothing
must be free of excessive wrinkles
- No shorts
- Pants must
be in good repair (no stains, no holes, no frayed ends from walking
on them, etc.)
- No sagging

- No
open-toed shoes
- Shoes must
be clean, laced up, and in good repair (no holes, no filthy
sneakers, not covered in mud, etc.)
