Mapping your drive and uploading files

Once you have uploaded your file to the multimedia server you will need to link to your file in a certain way for the streaming funtionality to properly work. Below are the three types of links you will need to use to stream your video properly. Windows Media Files
The address will be mms://ra.okstate.edu/osu-okmulgee/folder_name/file_name.wmv Realplayer Files
The address will be http://ra.okstate.edu:8080/osu-okmulgee/folder_name/file_name.smi All Other Files
The address will be http://ra.okstate.edu/osu-okmulgee/folder_name/file_name.ext The folder name is typically your okey shortname. If you encounter any issues with connecting to your uploaded files please contact Keith Gable at 293-4629. |
