The Gulf States Toyota Automotive Technology T-TEN Diversity Scholarship is merit and needs based, providing funding for students from lower-income households who wish to pursue an Associate in Applied Science degree in Automotive Technology - Toyota T-TEN option, on the Oklahoma State University - Okmulgee campus.
Throughout the two year program, the scholarship will provide funding to cover the expense of:
- Registeration, tuition, and standard fees
- Required books and materials
- Toyota/Snap-on Tool Set
- Campus Housing
- Meals on campus
The scholarship will also arrange a paid internship (work education experience) at a Toyota Dealership (to commence during the student's first semester).
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and/or lawful resident, residing in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, or Louisiana.
- Applicant must be a High School graduate with a Grade Point Average of 2.50 or higher, or possess a GED or Home School Certificate.
- Applicant must apply for admission in the Oklahoma State University - Okmulgee Associate in Applied Science degree program, and select the Toyota T-TEN option.
- Applicant must submit a hand-written essay of 500 words or less outlining his/her educational, career, and life goals.
- Applicant must submit 3 letters of reference (for example: one from a High School counselor or Principal, one from a High School instructor, and one from a person of his/her choice).
- Applicant will be required to maintain full-time enrollment status.
- Applicant will be required to live in selected on-campus housing.
- All campus Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct will apply.
- Applicant must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Applications must be received by April 1 for Fall Semester program entry.
