- Guide and assist students in learning subject matter. Do not do their work for them.
- Help students learn good study habits and become independent learners. They must not become dependent on their tutor.
- Help make each student's experience at OSU-Okmulgee a successful and productive one.
- All tutoring must be done in room 105.
- Tutors are to remain in the tutoring center and not take on other tasks throughout the Learning Resource Center.
- Potential tutors must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.0 in the subjects for which they are tutoring and be enrolled in a least 6 credit hours at the university.
- They must fill out a tutor application and submit it to the director of the tutoring center.
- Tutors must have at least two recommendations from an instructor or employer.
- Each potential tutor will be interviewed by the director and the staff.
